Sprouting ideas: design directions and roadmap


The year has just started and it is already very promising. I get really excited when I think about what's already planned for Time's Seed. Although it's still too early to talk about everything, in this devlog I bring the most important information for those who are following the project.

Since the game exceeded my expectations when it was still in its gamejam version, I decided to invest all my time and energy in it. I obtained such satisfactory results that it didn't take long to decide to invest even more. As a result of this, I announce that the game will be completely recreated graphically. Now, the art direction is in the hands of an extremely competent artist. Below, you can check out a small (literal) spoiler.

With this big step being taken, the project now adopts a more professional stance towards gaining a space among an audience passionate about retro games.

Furthermore, I decided that the game's target platform will be Steam. With this decision, game design can flow in directions that please a broader audience.

For the WebGL version, the plan is to keep the game with the graphics it is in and give a glimpse of the mechanics that are to come.
